Dr Maya Husain

I am a board‐certified pediatric infectious disease specialist, with complementary training in adult infectious diseases during my residency. I served as Senior Clinical Fellow on the antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) teams at Robert Debré and Necker University Hospitals in Paris—one year at each site—followed by a year on the adult AMS team at Bichat Hospital. My clinical and research interests focus on complex infections, including infective endocarditis, endovascular infections, neurosurgical and osteoarticular infections, for which I am currently investigating early oral‐stepdown strategies. I also have a special interest in infections in immunocompromised children and opportunistic pathogens. Thanks to my dual pediatric–adult training, I foster seamless collaboration between pediatric and adult ID teams.
In addition, I am deeply committed to caring for underserved populations: I helped establish and now lead a dedicated infectious diseases consultation for migrant children at Robert Debré Hospital.
