Song is a Specialist Antimicrobial and OPAT Pharmacist at Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG). He is a key member of the OPAT pharmacy team, with trust wide responsibility for the operational delivery and governance of the OPAT service across Lincolnshire, alongside wider antimicrobial pharmacy commitments within the hospital setting.
He works closely with multidisciplinary teams to support safe, effective, and patient centred outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy, with a strong focus on antimicrobial stewardship and medicines optimisation. His key areas of expertise include OPAT service development, home based intravenous therapy, elastomeric devices, medicines governance, and quality improvement aligned with patient safety.
