Annette is the Lead pharmacist for antimicrobials and infection control at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH).
Annette has worked as an antimicrobial pharmacist, in various different roles at NUH since 2006. She currently leads the antimicrobial pharmacy team, is the lead pharmacist for OPAT and lead for Antimicrobial Stewardship.
Postgraduate qualifications include a diploma in clinical pharmacy, independent prescribing and the Mary Seacole NHS leadership academy award in healthcare leadership.
She has worked as an independent prescriber within the OPAT service since 2015 and led on the setup and development of the pharmacist led COpAT service.
She was one of the group members involved in the 2023 update of the UKHSA “Start Smart then focus” stewardship toolkit. Annette currently chairs the East midlands antimicrobial pharmacists group and is the principal investigator for the UK Antimicrobial registry (UKAR) study at NUH.
