Dr Aileen Boyd

Aileen Boyd is a consultant of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology at King’s College Hospital and is co-lead of the King’s new OPAT service. In 2014-2022 she was a consultant at Homerton University Hospital where she was also involved in setting up and running an OPAT service.
She graduated from Edinburgh University and completed her general medical training there before moving south for ID training in Manchester and London. She has had a keen interest in infection for many years and completed a BSc in Immunology with a thesis on malaria, an MD thesis on TB diagnostics as well as gaining diplomas in GU Medicine, HIV Medicine and Tropical Medicine & Hygiene.
She lives in south London with her husband, 3 children and her neurotic spaniel, Rolo.
