Dr Ann Noble

Dr Ann Noble is a Consultant in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine in NHS Lanarkshire and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Glasgow. She trained in Medicine at Cambridge and Oxford, and undertook specialist training and a PhD in Immunology in Birmingham. She was appointed as Consultant in Infectious Diseases in Sheffield in 2002, before moving to NHS Lanarkshire in 2014. She has an interest in Medical Leadership and undertook a MSc at Sheffield Hallam University as well as holding several medical leadership roles.
Ann set up the Sheffield OPAT service and now leads the OPAT service in NHS Lanarkshire. She has published widely on OPAT, chaired the UK adult Good Practice Recommendations (GPRs) in 2012 and the updated adult/paediatric GPRs in 2019. She is now leading the latest update of the GPRs, to be published in 2025.
