Dr Helen Roberts

Helen has a specialist interest in bronchiectasis and lung infections. She previously worked at Nottingham University Hospitals for many years where she set up the first home iv service for patients with bronchiectasis and later worked with the OPAT service as it developed and was able to offer a comprehensive service to a large number of patients. She was an author of the bronchiectasis antibiotic and management guidelines and delivered training for colleagues in the trust and in the GP community. She has been involved in bronchiectasis research related to mortality and was a primary investigator in the EMBARC registry. She was also an author of the BTS guidelines for the management of community acquired pneumonia and is a member of the BTS Standards of Care Committee.
