Dr Monica Mahoney

Dr Monica Mahoney received her PharmD degree from MCPHS-University in Boston, MA. She completed PGY1 and PGY2 training in infectious diseases at Tufts Medical Center, in Boston, MA. Since 2009, she has been employed as an infectious diseases pharmacist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. For the past 8 years she has been involved with the BIDMC OPAT program. Dr Mahoney is a member of several national pharmacy and infectious diseases organizations, including ASHP, ACCP, IDSA, SHEA, and SIDP, and holds fellowship in ACCP, IDSA, SIDP, and MSHP. She is past president of the Massachusetts Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Dr Mahoney is an associate editor at OFID, a section editor at Contagion Live, and on the editorial advisory board for ASHE. She has been instrumental in coordinating monthly OPAT virtual chats, the inaugural MAD-ID/SIDP OPAT workshop, and various OPAT-related talks and presentations.
