I am a hospital and community Infectious Disease Specialist and Medical Microbiologist with Nelson Bays Primary Health and Nelson Marlborough District Health Board. I am an expert clinical advisor for ACC on infection compensation claims. I have made over 30 trips to the Pacific Islands (including Cook Islands, Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu, Niue and Kiribati) with the World Health Organization or NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, to support antibiotic guideline development and stewardship, microbiology laboratory testing, and infection prevention and control. I run a small private internal medicine clinic in Nelson and Marlborough. My main clinical and research interests are currently antibiotic pharmacokinetics, FMT, facemask filtration efficiency and chronic fatigue.
