Ellie Birnie is an Advanced Antimicrobial/OPAT Pharmacist at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. She has been working in the antimicrobial field for almost 4 years and is the current Pharmacy Service Lead for the UHDB Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy service.
She studied her MPharm at Keele University and has completed both a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy and her Independent Prescribing qualification, with a special interest in respiratory tract infections.
