My name is Sarah, I am an OPAT Specialist Nurse based at Lincoln working for Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group.
My duties include I assessing referred patients suitability and consenting them for the OPAT service. I liase with the visiting community Nursing team and assist with management of their care whilst they are on service. I also visit patient’s at home to administer their IV antibiotics when our IV therapy team is at capacity.
I have over 20 years’ experience as an RGN, 15 years in general surgery, vascular surgery, ENT, Max fax and Orthopaedics on the ward and 5 years with the OPAT team.
