Sarah Crowle

Sarah qualified as a registered nurse in 1998 and spent the first seven years of her career working within the field of cardiology.
For the past 18 years she has been working in OPAT within the Acute Care at Home (ACAH) team as part of the Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, which she has been the Team Lead for the last 18 months. The role offers the opportunity to ensure antimicrobial stewardship is forefront of the patient journey and the patient remains central to all decision making. Whilst the majority of patients receive antimicrobials, the service also offers other interventions which would otherwise be delivered in an acute setting. This diversity, though challenging, is immensely rewarding.
When not working, her focus is on family, which mostly revolves around looking after an array of furry animals and ferrying 2 teenage girls to their various activities. Sarah enjoys all that Cornwall offers, including attempting to perfect standing on the paddleboard – a feat not as easy as it looks. Travel is another passion and when time allows enjoy exploring and understanding different cultures and environments with the family.
